Sohaib, Asad, Amir unlikely for New Zealand T20s

LAHORE: Pakistan’s talented middle order batsman Sohaib Maqsood, young all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed and stylish batsman Asad Shaifq are likely to be dropped from One Day team for New Zealand tour, report suggests.

These players can be sidelined at the end of PCB’s 26-player training and fitness camp in Lahore.

According to reports, Hyderabad hailed Sharjil Khan, seasoned fast bowler Umar Gul and young Babar Azam make their way into Pakistan’s Twenty20 team.

As talented Imad Wasim is fit again and available for the New Zelanad tour, he may replace Amir Yamin in T20 team.

However, PCB has still not given a green signal to selection committee over Mohammad Amir’s inclusion in the team.

Sources suggest that selection committee has finalized T20 format for NZ tour, which will be announce within two day after PCB chairman Shahryar Khan gives it a ‘go ahead’.
