LAHORE: Talented young leg spinner Yasir Shah, after being banned by ICC for testing positive for a banned substance, has been replaced by left arm spinner Zafar Gohar in fitness camp.

He is likely to get ‘go ahead’ from PCB and selection committee for New Zealand tour too.

The leg-spinner has been given a week to make up his mind to request a test on a second urine sample, and another week following the test to decide if to plead at fault.

At the moment, he is on the verge to face a possible ban of about two to four years and has been replaced by left-arm spinner Zafar Gohar in the national training camp for the upcoming tour to New Zealand.

Earlier PCB has given its clear stance on Yasir Shah’s issue by giving ‘zero tolerance’ statement.

“PCB has a zero tolerance policy towards the use of prohibited substances in cricket and has in place a strict regime which monitors and regularly imparts education relating to the ICC anti-doping code,” added the statement issued from PCB.
