SHIKARPUR: Sindh Police on Saturday rounded up four ‘terrorists’ from Shikarpur and seized nearly 100 kg of explosives and arms from them, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
SSP Shikarpur Masood Bangash held a press conference at his office and said that four terrorists namely Abdul Rehman, Siraj Birohi, Siraj Langa and Abdul Ghani Birohi were arrested in a raid conducted today.
The suspects were said to be involved in a blast at an imambargah and a suicide attack on former MNA Dr Ibrahim Jatoi, ARY News reported.
“Police had earlier nabbed Akram Muavia, a suspect arrested in connection with the murder of Allama Shafqat Mutahiri, who then named another man Abdul Aziz during interrogation,” he told.
“Following his arrest, Aziz identified the above mentioned four terrorists.”
Bangash said the arrested suspects have also disclosed the names of their facilitators who are hiding somewhere in Balochistan, adding police are also preparing for an action against them.
