ISLAMABAD: The 139th birth anniversary of father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being celebrated on Friday across the country.
In his message to nation on 139th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Mamnoon Hussain Friday said that the nation to forge unity in their ranks, to defeat the forces of extremism and militancy and uphold the principles of democracy, constitution and rule of law.
“Unity, Faith and Discipline is an all-time beacon for all of us. Our country has now embarked upon the path to progress as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam,” Mamnoon Hussain said.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25th December 1876 and he was also Pakistan’s first Governor General.
In 1913, he joined the Muslim League which had been formed to stand up for the rights of Indian Muslims and he became its president in 1916.
Today is a national holiday. Electronic media etc television and radio channels will air especial documentaries related to the father of nation’s sayings and quotes..
The tomb will be open for the public after 1:30 PM.
