ISLAMABAD: Balochistan chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has been elected as Chief Minister of Balochistan on Thursday for the next two-and-a-half year, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Sanaullah Zehri became second unopposed chief minister of Balochistan as none of other Member Provincial Assembly has submitted the nomination papers.
Nawab Sanaullah Zehri’s supporters and PML-N activists started celebrations in Quetta. Sources told that after the appointment of new CM, the provincial cabinet will also be shuffled and the process is likely to be completed in a week.
Earlier, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch was elected unopposed to the position of Chief Minister Balochistan in June 2013.
Under the ‘Murree Accord’, Dec 4 this year was supposed to be the last day of Dr Malik Baloch as chief minister, following which a Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) nominee was to take over for the next two-and-a-half years.
