Fire engulfs hospital in Saudi Arabia, 25 dead, 107 injured

RIYADH: At least 25 people have lost their lives on Thursday when fire erupted in a hospital in Jazan, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, TheNewsTribe learnt from international media.

According to international news agency more then 100 people have been injured in the poor incident.

The kingdom’s civil defense agency said there were several fatalities, including children. The Directorate General of Civil Defense in Jazan told Al Jazirah that 25 people were dead, and 107 others were wounded. The fire purportedly broke out on the first floor of the hospital in an area that includes intensive-care units and child care.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
