Seven most mysterious nations of the world

Seven most mysterious nations of the world| TheNewsTribe.com

Several historians and ethnographers have failed to know these people’s origin but they have managed to remain secret.

Russians

Yes, they are mysterious! Scientists still cannot agree on their origins and answer the question when Russians became Russian. They don’t even know where this word itself comes from. The ancestry of Russians was sought among Normans, Scythians, and Sarmatians, Wends, and even the South Siberian Usuns.

Prussians

Their origin itself is a mystery too. It was firstly mentioned in the IX century in the records of an anonymous merchant and later in Polish and German chronicles. Linguists find its analogies in various Indo-European languages and believe it to trace back to Sanscrit purusa, “man”.

Cossacks

It is also not clear where they came from. Their homeland could be in the North Caucasus or at the Sea of Azov or in the west of Turkestan… Their genealogy could go back to the Scythians, the Alans, the Circassians, the Khazars, the Goths, to the Brodnici.

Parsi

Parsi, an ethno confessional group of Zoroastrism followers in South Asia who have an Irani origin. Today their population amounts to less than 130 thousand people. The Parsi have their own temples and so called “towers of silence” for burying the dead (corpses are pecked by vultures).

Armenians

The origin of Armenians is a mystery as well. There are many versions. Some scientists correlate Armenians with the people of the ancient state Urartu, but the genetic component of the Urartians is present in the Armenian code just as genetic components of Hurrians and Libyans, not to mention Proto-Armenians.

Gipsies

According to the linguistic and genetic researches, ancestors of the Gipsies left the territory of India in the amount that did not exceed 1000 people. Today there are approximately 10 million Gipsies in the world. In the Middle Ages Europeans believed that Gipsies were Egyptians. The word “Gitanes” itself is a derivative from “Egyptian”.

Kalash people (the Kalasha)

Small-numbered peoples, who live in the north of Pakistan, in the Hindu Kush mountains, are probably the “whitest” peoples of Asia. Disputes about the Kalasha have never ended. The people themselves insist on their connection to Alexander the Great. Their language is phonologically atypical; it has a basic structure of Sanscrit. Despite the attempts of islamization many Kalash people stick to polytheism.
