LOS ANGELES: Los Angeles Unified School District officials held a news conference Tuesday morning after they confirmed the closure of all schools, CNBC reported.

The Los Angeles School Police confirmed that all students at district schools will be sent home due to a possible electronic threat early Tuesday morning.

“I think it is important that I take the precaution based on what has happened recently and what has happened in the past,” said Ramon Cortines, LAUSD Superintendent, in a press conference.

“Before the day is over, I want every school to be searched to make sure that it is safe for children and safe for staff to be there on Wednesday.”
