Boycotting World T20 will hurt Pakistan cricket: Wasim Akram

We are asking for our due, not begging for a series: Wasim Akram | TheNewsTribe.com

LAHORE: Legendary Pakistani fast bowler and former captain Wasim Akram has on Monday said that Pakistan should participate in the World T20 otherwise it will harm its cricket.

While talking to media at  a function in Karachi he said “The World T20 is an ICC event and we should participate in it at all costs. If we don’t it will harm us in the long run.”

“Not playing in the World T20 will only affect our players and our cricket.”

It is pertinent to mention here that World T20 2016 event is to be held in India and there are few rumors that Pakistan Cricket Board can boycott this event.

On a question regarding Pakistan India series he went on saying that “If India doesn’t want to play us then that’s fine, we can also survive without playing them.”

It is to be kept in mind that Pakistan India series in 2015 chapter has almost finished as Pakistan Cricket Board did not get any response from Indian Board (BCCI) after giving so many deadlines.
