Rabi ul Awal 2015 moon sighted in Pakistan

KARACHI: The moon of Rabi-ul-Awal, 1436 Hijri, was sighted on Tuesday evening and 1st Rabi-ul-Awal would fall on Sunday, December 13.

The Ruyat-e-Hilal (moon sighting) committee, which met here under the chairmanship of committee’s head Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman for sighting the Rabi-ul-Awal moon, made the announcement.

After receiving many evidences from different areas of the country, Mufti Muneeb announced that Rabi-ul-Awal moon was sighted and 1st Rabi-ul-Awal would be Sunday December 13.

He said that 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, the birthday of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), would fall on December 24.
