Tribunal accepts Aleem Khan’s plea against NA-122 re-election result

LAHORE: Election Tribunal on Friday accepted Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate’s plea for hearing against result of NA-122 by-election.

The tribunal has directed PML-N’s winning candidate Ayaz Sadiq to submit reply till December 22.

The plea was submitted by Aleem Khan on November 26 which demanded to annul the NA-122 by-election as it was unfair due to alleged transfer of votes from the constituency.

After winning the by-election held on October 11 this year, Ayaz Sadiq took oath as Speaker of the National Assembly for the second time on November 9.

Ayaz Sadiq and Shafqat Mahmood of PTI were the two contenders for the seat of Speaker National Assembly.
