1993 Mumbai blasts case: Sanjay Dutt likely to free from jail in March

MUMBAI: Bollywood star  Sanjay Dutt will live a free life again from first week of march 2016, TheNewsTribe.com learnt from Indian media.

According to official sources, Muna Bhai to walk out a free man in very first week of March from Yeravada Central Jail.

Bollywood star recorded shoot for several movies while he was in jail and join the floors with B-Town celebrities by getting leave from jail.

Dutt was convicted for his role in the March 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. He has, however, been out of jail several times on furlough.

In September, Maharashtra Governor CV Rao rejected a pardon plea, but Dutt’s lawyers claimed he never applied for any.

After his arrest in 1996, Dutt spent 18 months in jail before getting bail. In 2013 he was sentenced to five years imprisonment and was transferred to the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune for serving the remaining prison term of 42 months.
