LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) Haroon Bandial has been elected Chairman of Union Council 36 unopposed chairman.
Haroon Bandial was elected as chairman from Bandial, District Khushab. Contestant of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) elected as chairman unopposed from Malir UC-31.
Taxila UC 117 ward belongs to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). On the other hand, votes counting was started as the polling time was ended.
Almost all political parties and independent candidates submitted the applications in Election Commission of Pakistan against the ongoing Local Bodies elections in Karachi on Saturday.
Earlier, ECP revealed that 185 complaints were registered by the candidates belonging to political parties. Independent candidates also registered the complaints against the election.
Senior leader of PTI, Ali Zaidi hold a press conference in Karachi along with senior leaders of Jimmat e Islami and slammed ECP over indiscipline election.
Ali Zaidi also claimed that ECP failed to organize free and fair elections in Karachi.
PML-N and leader of PPP also registered the complaints against massive rigging in LB polls. Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Farooq Sattar demanded re-poll in 69 polling stations.
