KARACHI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested former petroleum minister Sindh Dr Asim Hussian’s front man Rafique Godil from Karachi, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to sources, FIA’s Corporate Crime Circle’s team arrested Rafique Godil from his residence in Karachi.
FIA sources told TheNewsTribe.com that Godil is accused of being involved in millions of rupees’ corruption along with Pakistan State Oil’s (PSO) branch company Asia Oil’s MD Naved Zuberi.
Naved Zuberi is already in police’s custody, while Rafique Godil had been escaping arrest.
FIA official told us that Naved Zuberi along with Rafique Godil allotted fake contracts of Asia oil and looted nation’s billions of rupees.
Fit is pertinent to mention here that Dr Asim, who himself was front man of Asif Ali Zardari had been in Rangers’ custody for over three months under corruption charges.
