SHARJAH: England’s experienced batsman Ian Bell and young James Taylor put English team on driving seat in the first innings of the last match of 3 match series at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah.
Ian Bell is still on crease with score of 40 runs and James Taylor is also unbeaten on 26 runs. Before tea break visitors has scored 135 runs with the lost of three wickets.
Earlier, Pakistani left arm pacer Rahat Ali and Shane Warne’s favorite leg spinner Yasir Shah put Pakistan on front foot as English skipper Cook and JE Root left the crease.
Yasir Shah get rid of set batsman Cook just before his half century. He managed to put 49 runs on score board. Rahat Ali also took his first wicket of tournament. He sent dangerous JE Root. Young Root scored 4 runs and faced 14 balls.
According to details, England openers started off the new day with 4 runs on the board but soon after the start Pakistan got a breakthrough courtesy of Shoaib Malik who sent back Moeen Ali with the help of Younis Khan at slip.
