Bones and muscles start to get weak with age but if you are damaging them they may deteriorate with age. Healthy bones and muscles prevent fracture and osteoporosis. Your bones are healthy when you are 20 but after that your bones start getting weaker. Your rough life style can make them go weaker earlier and more severe.

Here are a few habits of yours, that are damaging your bones and muscles.

Smoking

The components of cigarette smoke interfere with the natural cycle of bone health. Smoking encumbers the development of healthy new bone and it also makes existing bone tissue to break down more rapidly. As a result, bones become weak and fragile.

Inactive Lifestyle

Combining too much eating with no or little exercise is a recipe for disaster. Lack of physical exercise weakens our muscles and exposes them to physical injuries. For encouraging healthy bones the recommended amount of exercise is 30 minutes of weight-bearing workout, five days a week.

Too much caffeine

Excess caffeine consumption is associated with lower bone density. Caffeine causes your kidneys to excrete calcium from your body, dropping the amount of calcium available to the bones for upgrading.

Vitamin D and Calcium deficiency

In vitamin D deficiency, calcium absorption cannot be improved enough to satisfy the body’s needs. Subsequently, calcium is mobilized from the skeleton to maintain normal serum calcium levels, ensuing in bone loss.

Over intake of soda

Phosphoric acid in soda excretes calcium out of the body and it has been connected to lower bone density in those who drink three or more sodas a day.
