RAWALPINDI– Civil administration has called in Pakistan army to maintain law and order situation during local bodies elections in Punjab.

According to the statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

Pakistan army personnel will remain present in all districts during the process of voting and counting to handle any irregular activity.

Electioneering for the first phase of local bodies elections in Punjab and Sindh will end on Thursday night.

The election will be held on October 31. According to media reports, two workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were killed during the election campaign and Imran Khan visited their homes and expressed grief over sad incident.
