ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to put Member National Assembly (MNA) Pervez Malik for the position of National Assembly Speaker instead of Ayaz Sadiq.
According to details, PMLN leaderships has took this decision following the poor performance of former speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in NA-122 by-poll on October 11 in Lahore, Pakistan..
Highly reliable sources have revealed that this step has been taken on the request of PML-N Lahore’s leadership which expressed extreme dissatisfaction on Ayaz Sadiq’s conduct.
They have presented name of Pervez Malik, who is another PML-N MNA from Lahore, for the post in a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and MNA Hamza Shahbaz, citing his active participation in NA-122 by-poll.
Another fear that looms over Ayaz Sadiq is the allegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that PML-N transferred more than five thousand voters of NA-122 to other constituencies to secure the seat in October 11’s by-election.
It is to be kept in mind that Ayaz Sadiq was the candidate of the ruling party against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI’s Aleem Khan, Ayaz Sadiq had won the contest with the lead of mere 2500 votes lead in the Punjab’s Capital city.
