Gang involved in ‘kidney selling’ detained from Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Wednesday has detained a gang allegedly involved in selling kidneys in the area of the Lohi Bher police station, Islamabad.

According to a details, gang used to bring people from Faisalabad to Islamabad by deceiving them and promising them jobs. The group then used to take these people to a private hospital where their kidneys were removed.

Police officials said the suspects were behind the removal of the kidney of Zeeshan who was paid Rs 10,000.

The group has been selling kidneys for Rs 2-3 million each.

Police officials also revealed that Dr Aniq and Riffat who were involved in carrying out the operations at the private hospital in Islamabad are still being searched.
