KARACHI: Federal University of Karachi has issued 186 fake degrees in last two years in B.A, B.Com examinations, reports.
According to an exclusive report from Geo News reporter Rana Javaid, Federal University has issued these degrees to those who either failed the examinations or did not appear at all.
This is one of the biggest fake degree scam in University’s history.
University formed a five-member fact finding committee to probe into the matter including four professors and an accountant.
The committee has submitted its report to Vice Chancellor (VC).
VC, on the basis of report has ordered immediate cancellation of such degrees and forwarded this report to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).
VC has also requested NAB and FIA to be a part of detailed investigation of the issue.
