Why Money is Green
Have you noticed whenever we watch cartoons, animated films the currency notes are always green in reality, the color of money has changed and is of different colors now but is always denoted as green. The reason behind this is when the currency notes were introduced in 1929 in US, the United States Bureau of Engraving and Printing decided to use green ink because of the reason that the color had relatively high resistance to physical and chemical changes and the green pigment was easily available at that time.
Why Bubble Gum is Pink
Have you wondered why bubble gums are shown as pink in animation? Because they were pink when they were manufactured. The reason being that hot pink dye was handily available at the Fleer Chewing Gum Company when its employer, Walter Diemer did the experiment with a new bubble gum recipe in 1928. He poured pink dye in his new recipe and America found its favorite oral addiction.
Why Taxis are yellow
The yellow color taxi was basically originated in America. In 1907, a car company owner, Albert Rockwell introduced a cab having 15 horsepower engine and the legend says that it was his wife’s idea that the taxi should be tinted in yellow color.
Why Surrender Flags are White
The reason behind this is that in ancient times both civilians and soldiers had white clothes handy as it was the main color people used to donned on at that time. Moreover, they were clearly visible against the background so waving them could easily convey passivity or submissiveness.
