ISLAMABAD: Details regarding allotment of land and plots to 43 private schools in posh areas of Islamabad have surfaced.
According to details, many plots were allotted in Chak Shazad and other posh areas of Islamabad in the era of former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf and there are also information that educational institutions were not built on some plots.
Behria and Pak Turk School each were allotted two plots. The costly lands in the posh areas of the federal capital were allotted on nominal prices.
Beacon house, city school, Roots, International Grammar also got government plots and a Magic school has also got plot in Islamabad.
These plots were not auctioned and given on lease and documents of lease have also been summoned and these documents will be submitted in the senate standing committee on cabinet secretariat.
According to available documents, 23725 square yards plot was allotted to Beacon house at the rate of Rs 100 per Square yard in H-8/I.
A Plot measuring 23725 square yards was allotted to city school at the rate of Rs 100 per Square yard in H-8.
A Plot measuring 11085 square yards was allotted to International Grammar School at the rate of Rs 500 per Square yard in F-7 sector of Islamabad and similarly plots were allotted to other private schools in posh areas of the federal capital at the lowest prices.
