PM Nawaz lays foundation of Gulpur Hydro power project in Kotli

KOTLI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has laid ground-breaking of Gulpur Hdro power plant at Kotli in Azad Kashmir.

According to details, One hundred and two megawatt Gulpur is a run-of-the-river power project located on Poonch river. PM Azad Jammu Kashmir Abdul Majeed, Federal minister to water and power Khwaja Asif and Governer Gilgit Baltistan Barjess tahir attended the ground breaking ceremony of Power plant.

While addressing to the  ceremony Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan is facing severe power shortage and they are trying their best to overcome it in limited time and governmnet is sincerely pursuing all the possible measuremnets .

He said ‘power outages reduced in past few months due to our efforts and we will finish energy crisis in this tenure.’
