You may have heard the notion that maintaining a healthy weight is not about what you eat, rather it is all about what you do i.e. physical activity. This idea seems quite appealing as to set no boundaries on eating and just go to gym for a while and get a healthy weight.

But very unfortunately, there is no fact behind this idea. Doctors do not approve of it at all. Health experts are of the view that cutting extra calories from your diet is far better than burning them off with extra activity.

It is so easy to gulp a tin of Coca Cola which contains 240 calories but it requires quite an effort, i.e. to walk or run about two and a half miles to burn them. This is not easy for every person unless he or she is a professional athlete.

Furthermore, workout can increase appetite. So if you manage to do hectic exercise still there is a chance that you do extra eating. The key to maintain a healthy weight is to keep the diet and exercise going hand in hand.

Not only that but workout plans are not usually long term, especially when they are too enthusiastic. Furthermore, nutritious food does not hold too much calories so by having nutritious food you can have a healthy life.
