So here Professor Snape’s or in Harry’s words ‘only’ Snape’s quote may be relevant here for these fans, “After all this time? Always.” Here are the few beasts and creature you have met in the happening journey of Harry Potter.

GRINDYLOW:

The dark magical creature, a water demon that is found in the vicinity of Britain and Ireland. It usually dwells at the bottom of the lakes. The demon feeds on the small sea creatures but has a taste for human flesh as well.

It has a pale green color, sharp little horns, long spindly fingers that are used to pull down its prey under water, and pointed green teeth. The trick to escape it is to break its grip. Harry acquainted with the Grindylow in his 3rd year at Hogwarts and he was shown the creature by Professor Lupin. He also met one in his 2nd task during the Triwizard Tournament in which he had to rescue his best friend Ron from the merpeople.

BASILISK

Basically known as the ‘king of serpents’, this beast is bred by Dark Wizards. It has large yellow eyes which are its greatest weapon; they have the power to kill their victim the time it looks into them. The picture is not complete here, the serpent has fangs whose venom is so lethally poisonous that it can destroy horcruxes.

Harry killed the one in his second year at Hogwarts and his friend Ron collected its fangs in the Seventh part to destroy the horcrux.

MANTICORE

One of the wizarding world’s most disastrous creatures, which can repel all charms known hitherto. It is quite hard to over power with magic.

Hagrid mated them with fire crabs and created the Blast-Ended Skrewts that gave a life time experience to Fourth years in Hogwarts.

HUNGARIAN HORNTAIL

The beast is known as the most dangerous of its kind. It is the dragon native to Hungary. Its tail is as murderous as its mouth is.

Harry met the one and escaped it as well in the First task of Triwizard tournament during his Fourth year, in which he had to steal an egg placed among its own eggs without getting injured.
