OKARA: Counting in constituency of NA 144 is underway and according to latest updates Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is no where in the contest.
According to intial reports, Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz’s Ali Arif grabbed 14000 and independent contestant Riaz-ul Haqq got 21000 votes from nine percent of total polling stations.
PML-N likely to face defeat in NA 144 by elections.
Earlier, according to initial results PML-N candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has bagged 21054 votes while PTI candidate Abdul Aleem Khan got 1853 votes in 45 out of total 284 polling stations so far.
Meanwhile on the other hand, PML-N candidate Ali Arif Chaudhry has bagged 21115 votes while independent candidate Riazul Haq got 2556 votes in 31 out of total 210 polling stations so far.
It is to pertinent to mention here that there would be a nail biting contest between PTI and PML-N candidates and still they are going neck to neck.
Ayaz Sadiq is contesting from ruling party and Aleem khan from PTI.
