Mysterious deaths of nuclear scientists worries India

NEW DELHI: Indian Government has admitted that 11 Indian nuclear scientists in last four years died unnatural deaths.

According to details from Indian Atomic energy Department, eight scientists and engineers working in laboratories and research centers of the Department in India died in a blast, hanging or drowning in the sea.

Moreover, three more scientists of Nuclear Power Corporation had also died under strange situations during the last four years time span, two reportedly committed suicide and one died in a road accident.

Indian Police has claimed that in one case of Bhabha Atomic Research Center BARC, the scientist committed suicide because of elongated sickness and closed the case while the remaining cases are still under investigation.

A scientist of F-grade was found murdered at his residence in Mumbai.

It is believed that he was suffocated, however the murder accused remained a mystery so far.

At Kalpakkam, another scientist jumped into the sea to end his life in 2013 with the case is still under inquiry whereas a Mumbai-based scientist committed suicide by hanging.
