KARACHI: Former President of Pakistan General (retd.) Parvez Musharraf has stated that Pakistan should recognize Israel if it agrees to solve Palestinian issue, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
He was speaking in TV show at ARY News tonight.
In reply to a question, Musharraf said he backs the idea that Pakistan should soften its take over Israel’s issue if it agrees to resolve its conflict with Palestine.
He said it is in vast interest of the state because we do not share boundaries with Israel, we have religious  conflict with them and that is mainly because Palestine.
So if we take an initiate towards betterment of state-to-state relationship with Israel, that will not help to resolve Palestine issue but will also help to handle our conflicts with India
He was of the opinion that India seeks help from Israel to play proxies in Pakistan and aids insurgents. So if we make our relations better with Israel, that will help us break this tie-knot between both countries and then we can take India one on one.
Musharraf further said that “making good relations with Israel will help Pakistan to take ahead our international agenda, because no war can throw away Israel easily as they are now a nuclear power. If any realistic step is possible, that is to recognize Israel and condition it to Palestine’s freedom and will put off American Jewish Lobbies.
He further said that If India playing proxy in Pakistan, then we have all the rights to pay them in the same coin.
