ISLAMABAD: Government of Pakistan has decided to add the Pakistan Airline (PIA) pilots in the essential services due to which pilots will not be able to strike again.
According to sources, ‘foreign pilots’ option is also under consideration of government, government is of the opinion that by putting pilots into essential services, pilots will not be able to strike again as government is already spending 30 billion annually to provide facilities to the pilots.
Furthermore, sources revealed that strikes after short interval of time by pilots hurts the national exchequer and to avoid that situation now it is better to put PIA pilots into essential services.]
Government is spending lot much on the senior pilots of PIA as they are getting extra allowances bonuses and much more on behalf of pay.
It is to be kept in mind that dispute between Pilots association PALPA and PIA yet has not been resolved due to which passengers are suffering badly.
Today, there will be another meeting between PALPA and PIA in Islamabad to resolve the dispute.
