KARACHI: Extremely hot weather is expected Karachi, as meteorologists have forecast that the temperature will reach between 38 to 40 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

An official of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) told that the wind pattern indicated that no cool sea breeze would blow all the day whereas the decrease in humidity in air will likely to increase heat index.

Authorities have issued warnings for high temperatures in the next three days.

Local administration has advised the residents to take precautionary measure while going out.

On the other hand, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however, rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining areas.

Earlier, nearly 1200 people had died due to severe heatstrokes in the month of June this year.
