Local court orders release of late Ghazi Rasheed’s sons

ISLAMABAD: A local court in Islamabad has ordered release of late cleric of Lal Masjid Ghazi Abdul Rasheed’s two sons after submission of Rs30,000 surety bonds each.

According to details, both sons Haroon and Haris were presented before the duty magistrate Amir Khalil after the completion of their physical remand where police requested the judge to grant judicial remand of the suspects.

Suspect’s lawyer told court that the pistol recovered from suspects was licensed and presented proofs to the magistrate.

The court ordered the police to release the brothers over surety bonds worth Rs30,000 each.

It is to be kept in mind that the yesterday two sons of cleric among three persons were arrested after police seized weapons and commando uniforms from car.

While on the other hand family sources told media that pistol recovered was licensed and the uniform was used by both during hunting.
