MAKKAH: More than 310 pilgrims martyred while 450 got injured in a stampede at Mina, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
It is situated 5 kilometers to the east of the Holy city of Makkah, and stands on the road from Makkahs city centre to the Hill of Arafat.
Saudi King Shah Salman arrived at Mina after sad incident occurred on Thursday in which at least 240 pilgrims embraced martyrdom.
Saudi King Salman visited arrived at Mina and monitored the ongoing rescue operation. According to details, more than 4000 rescue personnel are busy in operation.
In recent days there has been a spate of incidents in Mecca, where over 2 million Muslim pilgrims have gathered for the annual haj pilgrimage.
The incident occurred in Maktab-93, street 204.
According to Saudi civil defence, most of the Al-Jazair pilgrims are involved in martyrs.
According to TheNewsTribe correspondent, injured are rushed to General hospital Mina, Noor and Al-Watani Hospital Jeddah.
As soon as incident place was cleared, pilgrims are allowed to resume ‘Ramee’ (throwing pebbles on Setan.)
Earlier, on September 2015, another incident of crane crash in Masjid al Haram (Grand Mosque) left 108 martyred and more than 200 injured.
