Peshawar: Eid al Adha was celebrated in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan on Thursday.
Majority of the people who follow government’s orders will celebrate Eid on Friday.
The announcement was made by Masjid Qasim Ali Khan clerk Mufti Shahabuddin Populzai in Peshawar.
Meanwhile, the KP government disowned Mufti Populzai announcement.
Earlier, Masjid Qasim Ali Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Province of Pakistan announced to observe Eid al Adha on Thursday, September 24, with Saudi Arabia.
The moon sighting committee presided over by Mufti Shahabuddin Populzai along with 20 Ulemas of Masjid Qasim Ali Khan of Peshawar.
Despite receiving no any witnesses, Populzai continued its streak to observe major Muslim festivals (like both Eids) with Saudi Arabia, a day before Pakistan.
