PTCL fails to cater reconnecting demand, system goes down

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has failed to cater the demand of reconnecting after recent offer, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

According to the information available to TheNewsTribe (TNT), PTCL system went unresponsive after the announcement of reconnecting the inactive CharJi & EVO devices.

Helpline of the company trying to give new deadlines for system restoration as representatives told people “our engineers are working on the complaint.”


Many PTCL users who availed the offer with the recharge of Rs.100 per device for unlimited data informed TheNewsTribe that PTCL helpline representative shifting telephonic queries for feedback instead of listening and handling the issue.

“Usually PTCL collect feedback at the end of telephonic conversation but in this case caller has been directed to feedback as soon as he or she choose to connect with customer service representative,” Azka Gohar from Islamabad told TheNewsTribe.


It is worth mentioning here that PTCL, the country’s largest Information Communications Technologies (ICT) services provider, is offering its CharJi and EVO customers free unlimited Internet for the first month upon reconnecting their inactive devices. Customers can avail this offer by simply recharging Rs. 100 on their inactive devices.


According to the ICT services provider, the new offer by the company is available for all CharJi and EVO customers who have not recharged their devices since 30th April, 2015.

Post-paid customers have also been given the added advantage of complete waiver of all their previous outstanding dues on their devices. EVO Limitless package tariffs will apply from the second month onwards.
PTCL is the largest and most ubiquitous telecommunications service provider in the country serving over 90% of the population.


The company is the first service provider to launch next generation CharJi LTE service in Pakistan, which is available in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lalamusa and Kharian, while PTCL EVO services are available in more than 250 cities and towns.
