KARACHI: Senior journalist Chand Nawab and his team on Tuesday has been tortured by Karachi Railway Police at Karachi Cant station.
According to details, he was there to uncover the corruption at railway station and while he was covering scalping of train tickets railway officials and police allegedly beaten him up and his team members including driver and engineers.
The citizens across the country condemned the incident and said that Railway police is involved in selling of train tickets in black.
Interior Minister Sindh Nisar Khuhro has taken notice of the incident and ordered inquiry into it.
It is to be kept in mind that Chand Nawab got fame after subsequent featuring of his character in a blockbuster Bollywood flick ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’.
