It’s time for Saeed Ajmal to quit: PCB official

ISLAMABAD: A senior official of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) official on Monday said star off-spinner Saeed Ajmal should think of retirement as he has not been much effective enough after his new bowling action.

According to details, the PCB official with a request of not disclosing his name, said Ajmal has not been as much effective as he was before ban.

He said “His deliveries are now mostly lacking good line and length and he went wicket-less on more than one occasion.” which is the only reason why he has been consistently dropped from National Team.

According to unconfirmed media reports, Ajmal was looking towards the option of retirement, but he wants to play a send-off match or series for Pakistan before saying goodbye to international cricket, for which he may make a request to the PCB.

It is to be kept in mind that last year, International Cricket council banned Saeed Ajmal for illegal bowling action but he cleared his action in the beginning of this year but he has not been as effective as he used to be.
