Pakistani girl honored ‘Mohammad Ali International Humantarian award’ in America

NEW YORK: Pakistani 13 year old girl, Hadiqa Bashir, has been honored ‘Mohammad Ali International Humantarian award’ in America.

According to details, Hadiqa belongs to Swat, Khyber PakhtunKhwa, Pakistan and she was honored for raising voice and her struggle against the under age marriages in Pakistan.

After receiving the award she said this award is for the people of Swat.

She was honored for her conviction as the pioneer of Girls United for Human Rights. The Girls United for Human Rights mission is to empower the disenfranchised girls in rural regions of Pakistan, eliminate socioeconomic inequality, facilitate self-reliance, enable local self-governance, and promote people’s advocacy.
