SHEIKHUPURA: At least six terrorists were killed during an alleged armed encounter with the personnel of an intelligence agency in Manawala area of Lagran in Tuesday’s wee hours, Samaa reported.
Moving on a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists, security forces conducted an overnight sting operation against terrorists in Nankana Sahib’s suburbs.
Finding the security personnel approaching, eight terrorists scrambled to escape riding on motorbikes. On this, security men opened fire killing six of them on the spot.
Two of the saboteurs managed to flee leveraging the darkness of night.
Soon afterwards, a sweeping search operation was jump-started to track down the absconders with pickets erected on the city’s entrances and exits.
Police and intelligence agency men recovered several weapons from the possession of the terrorists.
The terrorist hideout has been sealed.
