NA-122 candidates’ eligibility challenged in EC

LAHORE:  A petition has been filed in the Election Commission on Monday, challenging the eligibility of PML-N’s Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Abdul Aleem Khan of PTI.

Dr Anbar Shehzad, the petitioner  stated that both candidates have spent more than set amount on the election campaign, thus, they do not fulfill requirement of Article 62 and 63.

The petition urged the Election Commission to reject nomination papers of both candidates.

On the other hand, scrutiny of nomination papers for NA-122 and PP-147 by-elections is underway.
