4th ODI: England stun Australia to level the series

HEADINGLEY: Hungary-for-win England on Friday chased down the sizable target of 300 to register their 2nd consecutive win by 3 wickets after two back to back loses to level the five-match ODI series against World Champion Australia  at Headingley, Leeds.

After winning the toss, skipper Smith decided to bat first ad despite losing early wickets, Aussies managed to post 299/7 on the board, courtesy to Maxwell’s 85 and Belly’s 75.

Australia were looking confident as they had successfully defended the 300+ total twice in the series,

England in reply lost couple of wickets in the beginning, but captain Morgan’s responsible innings of 92 out of 92 balls then later Stokes 41 helped the guest side to sail away towards victory.

England chased down the total of 300 in 48.2 overs with 3 wickets in hand.

Pat Cummins took 4 for 49 in his 10 over spell.

With England’s second consecutive win, the series hangs in the balance with 2-2 each.
