ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday expressed extreme dissatisfaction over implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).
According to details, PM while chairing a high-level meeting to review development and implementation on NAP at PM house, directed the federation and provinces to improve coordination for producing better results.
Sharif said simultaneous implementation of all 20 points of National Action Plan (NAP) on eradication of terrorism is equally important.
Implementation reports of Provincial Apex Committees were presented in the meeting.
The prime minister said there was a need to be vigilant in ridding the country of terrorism and extremism.
He said NAP was the outcome of the consensus developed by political and military leaderships.
Sharif stressed strict implementation of NAP in all provinces besides Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
The prime minister asked the meeting to apprise him about the impediments in implementation of NAP and the necessary steps required to be taken.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, DG ISI, heads of intelligence agencies, chief ministers of four provinces, top executives of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and chief secretaries attended the key meeting.
