PCB considering to rest Azhar Ali for Zimbabwe Tour

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering to rest ODI captain Azhar Ali, vice captain Sarfraz Ahmed and middle order batsman Asad Shafiq for upcoming Zimbabwe tour.

According to sources, PCB has decided not to take any risk with the prayers as three of them will perform Hajj this year.

PCB decides not to include these three players for next tour as long flights from Jeddah to Harare and back to back matches without proper rest may put their fitness on stake.

However, the final decision will be taken after T20 skipper Shahid Afridi joins Coach Waqar Younis and PCB chairman in the meeting.

It is reported that if Azhar Ali is rested for the Zimbabwe tour, Younis Khan will be crowned as captain for ODI series,
