High court imposes ban on sale of beef in Indian-held Kashmir

 

SRINAGAR – High Court of Jammu and Kashmir impeached ban on the sale of beef in the state, Thenewstribe.com learnt from The Kashmir Monitor.

Two member bench of High Court consist of Justice Janak Raj Kotwal and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur heard the petition.

The petition was filed against slaughter house and sale of beef in occupied Kashmir. Advocate Parimosksh Seth filed the petition against cow laughter.

This verdicts came just after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) banned meat in Mumbai for 4 days during the Jain festival.

Its important to mention here that India is the world s second largest beef exporter and fifth biggest consumer.
