Typo almost took away central contract from Imad Wasim

LAHORE: Pakistan cricket team selectors after including all-rounder Imad Wasim in central contract list, confessed that typo removed his name from contract list.

Imad Wasim who hit a famous sixer in the second and final t20 match against Sri Lanka in Colombo, was not part of central contract.

Pakistan cricket team’s chief selector confessed that his name was miss out because of typing mistake.

He said that “Owing to a typographic oversight, Wasim’s name was omitted from the list of centrally contracted players. He was in the selection committee’s list in category ‘D’.

Earlier On Tuesday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)  added Imad Wasim in central contract after media build pressure on PCB.

 Imad Wasim finally got the reward of million dollar sixer, which he hit against Sri Lanka that led to T20 series win on Sri Lankan soil.

According to sources, PCB add young all-rounder in ‘D’ category.

B Category includes Ahemd Shahzada, Saeed Ajmal, Asad Shafiq, Rahat Ali, Junaid Khan, Sarfraz Ahmed, Yasir Shah and Wahab Riyaz.

PCB has put Mohammed Irfan, Fawad Alam, Mohammed Rizwan, Haris Sohail, Anwer Ali, Shan Masood, Umer Akmal in C-category.

While, PCB has also announced D-category contracts for Sohaib Maqsood, Umer Amin, Babar Azam and Zulfiqar Babar.
