KARACHI: Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Karachi police Mushtaq Mehar said accountability procedure has been started in Department of Police in Sindh.
According to details, more than 1000 policemen has been blacklisted on corruption and other charges.
AIG was addressing to an event regarding the completion of two years of Karachi operation he said this operation has brought 70% reduction in  crime rate in Karachi.
3500 encounters has been held during this span and Karachi operation gave boost up to the property rate in the city.
He further said they  will send the high profile cases to Military courts
It is to be kept in mind that before Karachi operation daily 10-12 people were losing their lives to target killing but this undiscriminating operation against every culprit has brought Karachi’s environment to normal conditions.
