Govt slashes petroleam prices by Rs 3 perlitre

Islamabad: Pakistan Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi on Monday approved reduction in the prices of all the petroleum products for the month of September.

While talking to media Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbassi told that after the approval of the summary sent by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the petroleum products would be reduced by Rs 3 per litre.

The prices of petrol, kerosine oil, have also been decreased by Rs 3 and high Octane by Rs 1.02 per litre.

The new prices will be effective from 12 am tomorrow.

Earlier, a summary from OGRA had suggested government to reduce petrol Prices by Rs 6.14, light diesel upto Rs 6.48 , high speed diesel upto Rs 7.4, while Kerosine oil upto 7 Rs 7 per liter.
