KARACHI: Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) has handed over Former federal Minister Dr Asim to Rangers on 90 days physical remand.
According to details, Rangers presented Dr Asim in ATC, which handed over former Minister to Rangers for 90 days’ physical remand. Dr Asim was accused of supporting terrorists and also have corruption charges on him.
According to Rangers officials, he was arrested as per Pakistan Protection Ordinance 2014.
Dr Asim was arrested from his office and security officials also took important documents from his office along with them.
It is to be kept in mind that Dr Asim was Petroleum Minister in Pakistan Peoples Party PPP’s Government in 2008 and currently he was serving as the Chairman Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC).
