PCB summons Butt, Asif to attend anti-corruption lecture

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has summoned spot-fixing hit duo Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif to attend an anti-corruption lecture.

Both players will be eligible to return to cricket on September 2 after their five-year spot fixing ban expires.

In a press statement last week, International Cricket Council (ICC) said that both Butt and Asif can resume playing cricket from September 2.

According to sources, PCB officials want the duo to attend an anti-corruption lecture before returning to cricket.

Sources add that they will be allowed to feature in domestic tournaments after the lecture
