One of the world’s leading smartphone manufacturers, Apple has announced a replacement program for iPhone 6 Plus owners with a faulty rear camera, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to the information available to TheNewsTribe, the programme will allow a small percentage of iPhone 6 Plus owners to replace the iSight camera for free, after the company found out that limited devices feature the blurry images issue.
The good news for iPhone 6 Plus users is that the problem isn’t common in all wide-screen gadgets. People who bought the iPhone 6 Plus during Spetember 2014 and January 2015, than you can claim for replacement by keying in your device’s serial number HERE.
The iSight problem is due to some component within the camera and is only seen only in a select serial number and doesn’t extend to iPhone 6.
Reports say that if your iPhone 6 Plus has any damage such as a cracked screen which impairs the camera replacement, that issue will need to be resolved prior to service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair, Apple writes on its website.
It’s worth mentioning here that the newly announced programme isn’t new, Apple had announced to replace the faulty battery of the iPhone 5, among other similar replacements.
Apple is expected to introduce the next iteration of the iPhone next month, most likely on September 9. The company had launched its iPhone 6 models last year on the same date.
Apple plans to launch the new devices dubbed iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus phablet this year. These will be the successors to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, respectively.
There is also the reports that Apple is also expected to launch the iPhone 6C and long-time rumoured 12.9-inch iPad dubbed iPad Pro.
