Justice Jawwad S Khawaja will take oath as Chief Justice of Pakistan tomorrow

ISLAMABAD – Justice Jawwad S Khawaja on Monday will take the oath as Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Justice Nasir ul Mulk will retire today (Sunday) and the senior most judge in Supreme Court of Pakistan, Justice S Khawaja will hold the office on Monday.

President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain already approved the appointment of Justice S Khawaja as next Chief Justice of Pakistan on the advice of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Justice Khawaja was born on September 10, 1950 in Gujranwala. He completed his graduation from FC College, Lahore in 1971 in Arts.

In 1971, he completed his degree in LLB from Punjab University Law College, Lahore.
